Inland area housing expert Tim Johnson will join the senior management team at Quality Management Group effective July 1, 2016. As Senior Vice President of Strategic Development, Johnson will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive internal and external plan focused on growing the organization that manages properties throughout the Inland Empire and East Los Angeles.
“I look forward to bringing my knowledge and expertise in Inland Southern California housing to help take Quality Management Group to the next level,” said Johnson. “I have worked with Josh through the California Apartment Association and have been impressed with the company’s precision and caring approach to property management in both affordable and market-rate multi-family properties in the Inland Empire.”
Johnson has been the Executive Director for the California Apartment Association (CAA) Greater Inland Empire for the past three years, where his primary responsibilities included government and public affairs activities on behalf of CAA’s members, who own and operate rental properties within the Greater Inland Empire.
Since 2015, Johnson has served as Chair of the Housing Authority of San Bernardino County. He also has served as Board Member and Treasurer for the Inland Empire Resources Conservation District since 2006. He is currently a Board Member of Inland Action, a business action group for San Bernardino County. He serves as a member of the California Special District Association’s Legislative Committee, California League of Cities Housing Policy Committee, San Bernardino County’s Ending Veterans Homelessness Leadership Team, Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce, and he is a former Board Member for Academy Grassroots Organization, a capacity building organization dedicated to strengthening the region’s non-profit infrastructure.
From 2010-12 Johnson served as the Legislative Director for the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health where, among other duties, he was active in developing state and federal legislative platforms and analyzing pending legislation impacting the department.
Prior to that position, Johnson worked for eight years for the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors, concentrating on housing, public transportation, environmental issues, and community outreach.

Johnson received his Bachelor of Science degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and his MBA from The Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University. A native to the Inland Empire, Tim currently lives in Rancho Cucamonga with his wife Valarie, son Ethan, and daughter Emary.
